Last year's winners Manipal Dubai dance troupe will be defending their title at this year's edition of Spring Fiesta to be held at the American College in Dubai Campus (ACD) on 11th April, 2008.
It will be hosted by RJ/DJ Abhijeet and RJ/VJ Tia. Imran Khan of 'Ni Nachleh' fame will be performing at the festival.
This year the proceeds will be donated to the Special Needs Family group - popularly known as SNF - to upgrade their physiotherapy and occupational therapy equipments.
The team has been practicing long and hard, so expect an explosive display of dance and music. Come, cheer and witness our MAHE team as they battle other universities in UAE for the top prize.

Head To The Roof for 'Movies Under the Stars'
If you’re looking for a free shot of music and the movies, head to Wafi City where you can relax on comfy beanbags and enjoy the show for free. Every Sunday night, is the ‘Movie Under the Stars’’, at the Wafi Garden Rooftop; with those same beanbags providing the perfect place to curl up and catch a double-bill of classic films under the stars. You can also catch some of Wafi’s resident bands jamming together and with other local musicians at Peanut Butter Jam on the rooftop gardens every Friday from 8pm to midnight.

Department of IT organizes Technologic '08
The Department of Information Technology (IT) is holding its annual exhibition titled Technologic '08 on the 22nd and 23rd April, 2008.
The purpose of the exhibition serves a platform for students to exhibit their talents, skills and innovative technological concepts through a display of models, prototypes and software modules.

Media Students visit 'PhotoWorld - Dubai 2008'
Students from the Department of Media and Communications went on an industry visit to 'PhotoWorld - Dubai 2008', an International Digital and Imaging Exhibition for the Midddle East. The exhibition is being held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, from 8th - 10th April.
The event, which is being held for the fourth time, focuses on imaging and photography. The exhibition has stalls displaying photography-related equipment (by Canon, Nikon and Sony among others) as well as exhibits of merit-winning photographs.
There are a series of splendid photographs on display by 'Light Chasers', a professional group of photography enthusiasts based in Abu Dhabi. Another exhibit has photographic work by the 'Qatar Photographic Society', which seeks to promote photography in Qatar and encourage emerging talents in the field by holding lectures and discussions on photography.
One of the main highlights of the exhibition is the series of free interactive workshops and seminars being held by 'SWPP' (The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) & 'BPPA' (The British Professional Photographers Associates). The topics for these range from capturing photographs and lighting techniques to portrait retouching and use of imaging software.
MAHE's Media students interacted with professionals and learnt more about camera techniques and new production skills during their visit.

Antakshari Chillout Time
Thursday, 10th April, will see the faculty and staff at MAHE - Dubai Campus being treated to an afternoon of fun, games and complete relaxation.
The 3rd year students of Media and Communications, specialising in Advertising and Public Relations, have organised an event entitled 'Antakshari Chillout Time' exclusively for the faculty and staff at MAHE.
The event has been organised in an effort to break the tradition of the institute organising events and competitions for the students. Instead, in this case, the students will organise the event for the faculty.
There are a number of faculty and staff members who have volunteered to participate in the series of Antakshari contests which will be held. There are a total of 10 teams with two members a team.
Each department will be represented by a team each, while the Administration and Management departments will, owing to their larger size, have two teams respectively.
The event is meant to act as an in-house project in order to give the students of Advertising and Public Relations some experience in conducting an event.
